Crafty people can usually cook as both skills involve multi-step processes. I can be a gourmet cook, when I need to be. I have to say, there is a real comfort in food that can be prepared quickly. This one covers the vital bases of Fat Sugar Salt and Caffeine! My friend Tracy made these, the first time I ate (a lot) of them.

Open a gallon-size Ziplock bag, put the package of Oreos in it and smash them up until they are all crumbs. It’s a great way to get out all your aggressions – a good time to do this is when you have just fought with your husband. Mix the crumbs with the cream cheese in a bowl, or in the Ziplock bag. You want it to be all dark; no streaks of cream cheese. Scoop it out with a spoon and roll into truffle size balls.

Put a cup of chocolate chips in another Ziplock bag and microwave until the chips are melted. Cut a small hole in the corner of the bag, and squish out some chocolate in little swirls or zigzags on top of the truffles.

That’s it! They taste way better than they deserve to, and look pretty as well. Are they healthy? Hell, no, but a couple of these won’t kill anyone. If you eat a whole bowl of these, you have way more problems than your cholesterol.

You can say you were thinking of your husband when you made them.
